Solution processable poly(vinylidene fluoride)-based ferroelectric polymers for flexible electronics

چکیده

Since the discovery of piezoelectricity in poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) 50 years ago, ferroelectric polymers have established their own areas for research and applications due to unique properties comparison single crystals inorganics. PVDF is a semicrystalline polymer that can crystallize into five different polymorphs. Among them, polar ?-phase most interesting one electroactive because it has highest dipolar moment piezoelectric response. In early days, ?-PVDF was typically produced by melt processing, limiting its form free-standing films. The rapid development flexible electronics, however, highly requires fabricated from solutions under mild conditions. objective this perspective summarize effective methods produce solution, present approaches enhancing through morphological controls, discuss PVDF-based electronics. addition, current challenges may impede further field are pointed out.
